Custom Home Process

At Lake County Properties, we make the exciting process of building your custom home as easy as possible.

Selecting the home size:  We help you with all the decisions about your dream home. We have a portfolio of home plans, or we can help you with plans of your own.  After selecting the basic home style, we'll help tailor your total square footage, garage arrangement, number of bedrooms, kitchen layout and every other detail to meet your specific needs. 

Finding the property:  If you don't already have a property on which to build, we will  help you find just the right one,  taking into account key factors such as size, access, topography, view and neighborhood, and price.  We will also make sure the property has an acceptable soil test if a septic system will be required.

Deciding on  the details of the home design:  You will have great flexibility in choosing colors, appliances, carpets, kitchen arrangement,  decks, driveways, views, and much, much more.

Arranging for Financing:  We can help you estimate the cost and payment plan for your new home.  We also help many home builders by providing interim construction financing until the home is finished and receives its final inspection..

Picking a Contractor: We have a portfolio of excellent contractors with extensive custom home experience.  We'll make sure your home is built quickly and with quality workmanship.

Managing the Construction Process:  We work closely with you and the contractor throughout the construction process. We are there to answer any questions and help resolve any problems  that may arise.
